BIOGRAPHY:

Bulgarian violinist, she began studying the violin at the age of 5 and at the age of 9 performed for the National Bulgarian Television in a French music concert.
In 1995 she won the second prize at the National Contest for the best execution of Czech and Slovak music playing a Dvorak Sonatina and in 1996 she won the third prize in the National Violin Contest Sv. Obretenov in Provadia, Bulgaria. After these important successes she was invited as Guest Soloist by the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra.
She graduated “cum laude” at the Vladigerov Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria and at the Peri Musical Academy of Reggio Emilia, Italy. During the years of studies she attended masterclasses with Michael Barta, Josef Silverstein, Alfred Altenburger, Christian Altenburger, Tomas Brandis, Crtomir Siskovitch, Ilya Grubert.
From year 2000 – 2002 Ms Demirova was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester where she played with Pierre Boulez, Claudio Abbado, Ivan Fischer, Franz Welser-Möst, Maris Jansons
and Stefan Anton Reck.
In the last few years she has been playing chamber music ( violin/piano music from the Russian and Slavic repertoire) and working with symphonic orchestras and chamber and contemporary ensembles – Orchestra Sinfonica Cherubini, Virtuosi Italiani, Icarus Ensemble, Symphonica Toscanini. She has been Concertmaster at the Teatro alla Scala Academy Orchestra, and been invited as Principal and Co-principal (2nd violins) at the Orchestra Sinfonica Verdi and at the Orquesta Simfonica de Tenerife.
She is currently working with Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dell’ Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI and playing in Duo with the bulgarian
pianist Plamena Doncheva.
