BIOGRAPHY:

Adriano Ambrosini graduated with full distinction at the conservatory “Dall’Abaco” in Verona, under the guidance of M° R. Bonizzato, and then completed and perfected his studies with B. Canino, M. Damerini e P. L. Aimard.
After winning in some national competitions, he take part to “Venezia Opera Prima”, at the La Fenice Theater and the Biennale musica ’82, presenting world premiere.
He was invited by leading italian and foreign Musical Societies, such as IRCAM in Paris, International Computer Music Conference, Holland Festival, Camden Festival in London, WissenshaftsKolleg in Berlin, Catalan Composers Association in Barcelona, Chamber music Festival in Helsinki, Piano Festival in Glasgow, “Eco e Narciso” Festival, Aterforum, Biennale Musica 1985 and 1990, “Nuova Consonanza” Festival, Musica Verticale, Autunno Musicale in Como, Amici della Musica di Verona, Vicenza e del Veneto, Festival Musica ‘900 in Trento, Società del Quartetto di Vicenza, Settimana Musicale Chigiana, Spazio Musica in Cagliari, Cantiere Internazionale di Montepulciano, “Sonopolis”, Contemporary Music Festival in Bolzano, ecc.
In 1983 he won the prize for the best performance of works by Dutch authors at the international competition “Gaudeamus”in Rotterdam.
He performed in duo with Enzo Porta and collaborated with Annamaria Morini, with whom he has realized a CD with musics by Manzoni, Maderna and Guarnieri (Limen Classic).
With Tammittam Percussion Ensemble he recorded, world premiere, some pieces of the American composer L.Harrison (Dynamic CDS 401).
He also performed many world premieres, such as M. Stroppa’s Traiettoria series for piano and computer-processed sounds.
Some of his executions were broadcasted on RAI, Radio France, Dutch Radio and Radiotelevisione Svizzera, while on www.limenmusic.com are present other video, like G.Scelsi: Suite IX – Sonata per violino e pianoforte and J.Cage: Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano.
He held masterclass at the Conservatories and Academies in Bruxelles, Glasgow, Helsinki, Tampere.
He teachs pianoforte at the Conservatory in Verona.
