First Italian earning an accordion Diploma at a State Conservatorio, Corrado Rojac is considered one of the most important italian accordionists. In addiction to an intense soloist and chamber activity, this eclectic artist is engaged to the development of contemporary accordion’s literature, working with many composers and offering first performances of many pieces.
In this concert, he performs three unpublished pieces of young composers:

Gabriele Vanoni – Corde di recita
Trevor Baĉa – L’imaginaire
Edgar Barroso – Metric expansion of space

Gabriele Vanoni, was born in 1980. After a few experiences as a very young composer at Yamaha schools (JOC, Tokyo 1993), he started studying music at the Conservatory of Milan, where he graduated in Piano with Maria Isabella De Carli and in Composition with Giuseppe Giuliano.

Trevor Bača was born outside Los Angeles in 1975. His concerns as a composer include lost and secret texts; broken and dismembered systems; sorcery, divination and magic; and the effects, action and beauty of light. Bača’s music has been played in the US, Europe and Japan, with recent performances in New York, Berlin, Tokyo and elsewhere.

Edgar Barroso, born in Mexico in 1977, is a PhD Candidate in Music Composition at Harvard University where he worked with Hans Tutschku, Brian Ferneyhough, Helmut Lachenmann, Michael Gandolfi and Chaya Czernowin. His education includes a Master in Digital Arts, a Postgraduate Diploma in Composition and Contemporary Technologies and a “Cum Laude” Bachelor in Music Composition.

Here we are…Limenmusic restarts in September with new concerts, specials, interviews with leading musicians of national and international scene, new releases…and so much more.

Here are some advances:

Takahiro Yoshikawa plays L. van Beethoven – Episode 1
In this concert the young and talented Japanese pianist Takahiro Yoshikawa will perform L. van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata n. 1 in F minor.
This Opus was the first piano sonata written by the German composer in 1795. This work was dedicated to his predecessor Joseph Haydn, who has strongly influenced the early period of Beethoven’s career.

Alfonso Alberti in concert
Alfonso Alberti, appreciated Italian pianist and musicologist, will propose to the audience a concert on musics by: Luca Francesconi (1956), Flavio Emilio Scogna (1969), Paul Méfano (1937).
Furthermore, he will perform aworld première: Giostre di cristallo, written in 2000/2001 by Stefano Bulfon.

Shin Sasakubo in concert
Limenmusic proposes another kind of music, other than classical and contemporary one, the Andean – Peruvian music. In this concert the Japanese guitarist Shin Sasakubo will introduce the audience to the discover of the Andean world and its people, with some of its traditional musics.
