John Cage’s Freeman Etudes

John Cage

O’ and Die Schachtel, in collaboration with Gabriele Bonomo, presents: John Cage’s Freeman Etudes

Book 3 & 4: XVII, XVIII. XXII, XXIX, XXXII (1989-90), performed by Marco Fusi, violin solo

On friday, July 15. 2011 at 09:00 pm (GMT+2)
via Pastregno, 12 – Milan

The concert is preceded by the listening of Williams Mix (1952) and Fontana Mix (1958) both for tape.
The event closes the exhibition dedicated to John Cage and the O’ season, which will resume in September.

Marco Fusi is a violinist and a composer. He studied at “G.Verdi” conservatoire in Milan, and then he attended specialization courses with Pavel Vernikov, Jeanne Marie Conquer, Ernst Kovacic and Dimitrios Polisoidis.
The involvement with contemporary music has led him to several performances of “recent” music (such as numerous first performances of Castiglioni, Eötvös, Sciarrino, Vacchi, Solbiati, Cattaneo, Shimura…). He regularly plays with Algoritmo Ensemble (Marco Angius, conductor) with whom he recorded a monographic CD dedicated to Ivan Fedele’s chamber music. As an Algoritmo’s Member, he works with Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, often playing at Parco della Musica Concert Hall (Rome).
